WASHINGTON, DC, Nov. 2, 2026 — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says a 72-hour immigration enforcement operation in 15 states, aimed at the trucking industry, led to more than 230 arrests, including more than 40 people who held commercial driver's licenses.
"In a 72-hour, 15-state operation targeting illegal aliens with unauthorized CDLs and other public safety threats in the trucking industry, we arrested over 230 illegal aliens—including over 40 CDL holders who have been removed from our roads," the department posted on X Monday, calling it "OPERATION GUARDIAN."
The department said in the same post that "sanctuary states have issued CDLs to tens of thousands of illegal aliens who are unqualified, poorly vetted, do not speak English, and have known criminal histories," and that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement "is committed to eliminating CDL fraud." The post didn't name the 15 states, say when the 72 hours ran, or say whether Florida was among them.
DHS also streamed a press conference Monday that it described as Secretary Mullin "Highlighting Multi-State Operation Guardian's Success in Removing Illegal Alien CDL Holders from America's Roads."
Launchpad Digital will add details, including the states involved, if the department releases them.
