How we estimate. All figures are estimates; prices, routes and traffic change.

  • Total expenses = admission for your group + round-trip fuel. Lodging, meals, parking, tolls and add-on tours are not included.
  • Admission uses each attraction's published standard adult price × number of guests (2 if left blank), linked on its card, checked October 25, 2026. Children often pay less or get in free, so if you're bringing kids the real total is usually lower; check the linked price page. Park entry fees per vehicle assume one car.
  • Photos are from Wikimedia Commons under the license credited on each card.
  • Fuel uses AAA's Florida average for regular gasoline, $4.11 per gallon on October 25, 2026, and an assumed 25 miles per gallon for one car, times round-trip road miles.
  • Distance is straight-line. Drive time and road miles come from the free OSRM routing service without traffic; if it's unavailable we use straight-line miles × 1.25 at 50 mph.
  • Location lookup by OpenStreetMap Nominatim (© OpenStreetMap contributors). Your location goes only to those services; we don't store it.
  • Restaurants are not endorsements or ads. Nobody paid to be listed. "Local independent" means locally owned; "Florida-based" means a Florida-headquartered group with several locations.

Getaways guides are informational. We don't accept payment for listings, there are no sponsored or affiliate links, and we don't rate or review places. Restaurants are well-known, long-running local spots, each linked to its official site.

Panhandle note: Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin on October 9, 2026 (National Hurricane Center). Panhandle parks are reopening in stages; conditions listed on each card were checked October 25, 2026. Check the park or business before you go.
