Panhandle residents affected by Hurricane Isaias have only days left to get help in person at several state recovery centers, according to the Florida Division of Emergency Management.
The Santa Rosa County center at Pensacola State College closes Wednesday, Oct. 28, and the Washington County center at Wausau Town Hall closes Thursday, Oct. 29, the division said in a post on its X account Tuesday.

The division's Hurricane Isaias updates page lists these Multi-Agency Resource Centers (MARCs). All times are Central.

What the centers offer
According to the division, people can visit a MARC to request help for individuals, families and businesses from nonprofit and state partners for food, water, housing and recovery services, and to meet with state agencies and local nonprofits about services "from storm clean-up to emotional support."
The division says participating agencies may include the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (contractor licensing and scam reporting), the Department of Commerce, the Department of Elder Affairs, the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Veterans' Affairs and the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
What to bring
The division asks visitors to bring identification, proof of residence, insurance information and other official documents related to their storm losses.
Other help listed by the state
The same page says EmergencyRV is working with the division to help residents displaced by Hurricane Isaias who need temporary shelter, with applications at EmergencyRV.org. It also says state Human Services teams are canvassing affected communities, and that a team member will text first with the phone number they will call from.
Now that you have the up-to-date facts, decide what it means for you and your family.
